It's been 5 years since our wedding weekend, we thought it would be fun to do another get together with our friends and family. Our plan is to camp out for the weekend at the Platte River Campground and do a river float on Saturday. Please join us for all or any part of the weekend that you would like.

More Up North CampgroundsApparently Platte River Campground is filling up fast. Here is a list of other campgrounds. DH Day is cool. right on the big lake, but might be rustic (can't remember). Indigo seems like it might be fancier. That is about all I know, I can't vouch for the parks. Let me know where you end up so I can let others know. Some of these campgrounds are pretty far away from Platte River, but you could take a day trip over to hangout.

River FloatSaturday, June 24, 2023. Meet up / Start time 1pm to End time 4pm-ish
Weather is supposed to be hot and beautiful, the river might a quite busy.
We recommend getting there by NOON so you are ready to roll by 1pm. If you are renting a kayak check-in at Riverside Canoes first and then figure out parking. The Platte River is great for both Kayaks and SUP Boards. We would NOT recommend tubes (it takes forever). You can bring your own or get a rental from Riverside Canoes. The public launch is across the river from Riverside Canoes so we can all start at the same spot. The river float takes about 3 hours. BBQ Potluck
Saturday, June 24, 2023. Meet up at 6pm
There is a picnic area in the Platte River Park near M22. It is near the starting point of the kayak trip. We'll supply the charcoal for the grill, please bring your own grill-able food item and a dish to share. Beach Sunset & CampfireSaturday, June 24, 2023. Meetup at 8pm / Sunsets at 9:30pm
We are planning on enjoying a sunset and beach fire on Peterson Beach. We'll bring the firewood, s'more fixens, and some frisbees. You should bring something to sit on, blanket or beach chair, whatever makes you comfortable. There is a long dirt road across from Deadstream Rd. that leads to the beach just north of the Platte River Campground.
Open HouseSunday, June 25, 2023. 2pm
We invite you to stop by our new old farmhouse in the Village of Lake Ann on your way out of town. You can see it before we renovate and see the plans. Our new address is 6522 Lake Street, Lake Ann, MI 49650. We'll have some light refreshments, but not a full meal.
